Drayton Arms Theatre Script Surgery Application opens

We are so delighted to be offering the following for FREE to four playwrights to help support new writing development here in the UK. This process is meant to be fun, collaborative, non-stressful(!) and in the service of you and your piece, so don't be afraid to tell us what you need!

APPLICATIONS DUE FEBRUARY 24TH BY 12PM

We will begin with 1-on-1 dramaturgy sessions with Artistic Director Audrey Thayer. These will occur during a mutually agreed date(s) in March ahead of your use of the space.

The available Rehearsal & Development dates are April 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th.

You will have all day from 10am-6pm in the Drayton Arms Theatre for Rehearsal & Development of your piece. This can include any creatives you wish to include and lead by you in whatever way best suits the next steps of your piece.

You will then have an evening presentation that night to either an open or closed, ticketed or unticketed audience (your choice!) where you are welcome to gather feedback (QR codes, forms to fill out, casual discussion down in the pub, a Q&A post-show...) to help get the reactions you need to push your piece forward.

We so look forward to reading your work, if you have any questions, Audrey can be reached at enquiry@thedraytonarmstheatre.co.uk. We aim to respond to everyone by MARCH 3RD.
